It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a place to go where everybody knows his name, and they're always glad he came, he wants to go where he can know troubles are all the same, he wants to go where everybody knows his name. Or something. The Pitt Club, founded by eccentric LuciusPitt (after whom the way is named) is a sophisticated dining, drinking and gambling establishment, not so much at the heart of unity society as above it and looking down contemptuously. Patronised and protected by the highest eschelons TheMob if not actually run by them, the club's members are picked from the elite of Unity. For the average Unity citizen, simply dining in the club is a once in a lifetime experince. There are a number of different and contradictory rumours about the 'entertainments' offered in the club's basement, but surely rumours are all they are? <<< I have a lock on the basement of The Pitt Club, but nothing else. Though its not like any of the characters are of sufficient social status to be allowed in... -- BenChalmers >>> <<< Except Lisa and Tony, surely? -- [[SteveMcIntyre|Steve McIntyre]] >>> <<< Toni. And yes, that was implied. -- BenChalmers >>> <<< Woohoo! Locked basements! I like locked basements. What _could_ be in there? -- AldenSpiess >>> <<< Probably a History machine... I hear there was quite a fad in Unity a few years back... or maybe a whole new continent - there were no rules about other buldings' basements... -- BenChalmers >>> <<< Hmmm.. time machine in basement... The sequel to TheAnathemaDevice wouldn't by any chance be TheDayOfTheTentacle? -- SimonBooth >>> <<< It will be now -- AldenSpiess >>>
