ProfessorMontgomeryScott was head of the Archaeology department at JenkinUniversity, and a specialist in ancient Egypt and the surrounding areas.
He was every bit the traditional stereotype of a British Egyptologist. His ruddy face sported a huge, bushy grey moustache, and he spoke at top volume in a voice that didn't even begin to admit the possibility that people might disagree with him. However, despite the rumours that dog some of his colleagues , he was a bona fide academic, as opposed to a grave-robber. He meticulously recorded his finds, taking extensive skecthes and photographs, and took great care in his dealing with artefacts.
Professor Scott met his end late on the 31st October, 1922, as half of a grisly double murder. (See TheCasket)
