The book belonged to ArkadyKoldun until the end of 1919, when it was stolen by MarcusDelany and RobertSmith. After an apparition left Smith with screaming nightmares, they gave it to HucksBooks, who sold it on to HayesWebster, who was looking for books to hide alcohol in. The cover stayed in the Tea Room, while the pages were left outside as bedding for OldAlex.
These facts became know in TheBookStopsHere, when ArkadyKoldun asked TheUnitySociety to recover the book. TheCharacters never decided what to tell him, and fobbed him off with excuses every so often until his death in HereBeDragons
