Although he enjoyed his job. He volunteered for long shifts and had received several pay raises for keeping unwanted passengers off the trains, he disappeared late in march 1923 (see Unity Times Chronicle Articles March 1923) and has not been seen since.
The railroad adjusted shifts and brought in workers from Providence, the shortfall was made up, and life at NYNHH returned to normal.
