- Jack belatedly remembers it is Lisa's Birthday Lisa, Jack, Benny, Rebecca, Robert and Eric decide to go for a meal to the Pitt club Toni invites himself along at the last minute Toni is obviously distracted during the meal as he should be organising a rigged boxing match. Once Lisa has gone home, Toni invites the others downstairs and offers the tip that Nicholai Fotache is going to win. Eric and Robert bet on Fotache Fotache enters the ring and falls over, dead. On his neck are 2 holes with blood dribbling out Toni, resigned to the fact the the unity society will investigate offers to pay back the lost debts if they keep Lisa out of the loop The trainer, Cezar Petrescu, only speaks romanian, so a trip is paid to where the mobs romanian translator lives. The translator, (?) Petrescu is also dead, in much the same manner. An address book is found conatining details of a ship (The Karaylia) which arrived in Providence on the 30th Cezar is convinced that a Vampire killed Nicholai Eric discovers that there were 3 romanians on board the Karaylia, Cezar, Nicholai and one other.
