Background
Benito is originally from New York, and is a pilot and general transportation man for the Legitimate Businessmen's Club in Unity. He is reasonably well off, although not particularly highly ranked in that organisation.
When not off out of town (or even the country) on business (usually in his plane) he can often be found firebombing, shooting breaking and entering into, blowing up or otherwise traumatising chunks of Unity with the rest of the Unity society.
Charges that Benny is a bad influence were recently laid to rest when it was pointed out that on at least two occasions the rest of the society had blown up large chunk of unity on their own, without Benny's involvement in any way shape or form.
Benny has also studied the manual for the History Machine and can operate it, at least to the extent of successfully installing and extracting the battery without harming it (any more than the machine does in its normal course of operation).
Benny doesn't like molasses much, and these days usually carries around at least one sharp or hefty silver item with him at all times.

Benny's skill at "Persuasion" is partly down to his large size. He _is_ actually persuasive, it's just that people tend to read threats that aren't really there into whatever he says. Benny has come to accept this as "just the way things are". And it does come in handy from time to time, so he's not complaining.
Posessions
Benny owns (or leases, whichever is appropriate) a spacious apartment in a nice part of Unity. He can afford it. He also owns a plane, which was recently modified to fit removable spotlights, a generator, rails above each cargo door for passengers to clip safety lines to, and a crude fuel bomb (which has to be released by knocking the chocks out of the way and tilting the plane to either side.
Over the months, Benny has acquired various strange implements:
- A silver stake
- A chainmail shirt
- silver filled shotgun shells (90% lead, 10% silver)
- salt filled shotgun shells (100% rock salt)
- an assortment of carbide lamps.
He usually has a shotgun or two in the car, and maybe a tommy gun if he's expecting real trouble. Benny drives a fast car, suitable for carrying large quantities of illegal substances very fast and very far.
Relationships
Not much in common, but after the wolf attacks: he's a good shot and a stand-up guy |
|
A good guy to know. A bit on the law abiding side, but hey. It'll be a shame if he has to be shot after the infection. |
|
A colleague and probably the closest of all the others to Benny's world. Except for... |
|
Trouble... trouble... trouble... must not upset. |
|
He seems kind of indifferent, but it's always useful to know a lawyer. |
|
Never really understood professor types, but hey, to each his own. Although he does tend to shoot his mouth off to Toni, which is not good for anyone. |
|
Another professor type. Doesn't like the Mob much either, but that's more his problem than Benny's. Must be something about being a professor. |
|
He does good work in the poor quarter. A handy guy to know. But something's eating away at him. |
|
Rebecca's a blast. Fun to know. Bit prone to passing out in a crisis though. |
|
Seems a bit soft. But at least he's stopped laughing about our stories... |
|
Not too bad, for a banker. Let's see how he shapes up. |
