16

Lisa had little formal education, but gets bored easily and has spent much of her time in libraries picking up snippets of things that interest her. As a result Lisa is actually the equal of many academics in some areas (Although she would never realise this, or presume to correct them...)

Skills: Lisa is a darling of society. Coming from apparently nowhere to marry successful mob businessman Antonio Da'Vinci in 1920, she subsequently entered quickly into the social scene and made many friends. As one of the wealthiest of new money in Unity, Lisa and Toni share a high credit rating.

Lisa fills her time reading, picking up things that interest her. Lisa has a fine knowledge of history and is well versed in the occult. Her time spent in libraries has made her a master of the Dewey Decimal System (library use)

Lisa has a good idea of what is happening to other people (if not always herself), she notices things other would miss and has a keen eye for fashion (spot hidden). Lisa keeps an ear open all the time, in hope of hearing some juicy gossip (listen)

Background : Public

Lisa burst onto the Unity social scene following her marriage to Toni Da'Vinci. While there are strong connections between Toni and the mob, Lisa assures everyone that he is 'a darling' and 'a pussycat' and 'wouldn't harm anyone' or 'do anything bad'. In the few years since, she has made a number of close friends with both old and new money - how much of this is due to Toni's influence on the city and how much is due to Lisa's amiable character is, of course, open to question.

Although Lisa's main interest is shopping, there is only so much a girl can do, and to aleviate boredom she spends time leafing through books in libraries. Most of her friends don't realise quite how studious (and indeed gifted) Lisa is - she certainly doesn't show her education off, nor does she argue forcefully for her opinion - she always assume others know better.

In the spring of 1922, Lisa was told about The Unity Society and made arrangements to join, in the hope of learning more about local history (and perhaps even making a few new friends). The Unity Society is now where Lisa spends most of her spare time.

Background : Restricted

(None of this is totally secret, but it isn't information Lisa willingly offers.)

Lisa was born in Providence to a working class italian family, she has a number of brothers and sisters all of whom are following in her parents footsteps. Lisa couldn't abide that style of life, and made up her mind to make something of her life. She resolved to become a singer and actress - and approached the only people who could help her - local organised crime. It wasn't that Lisa knew they were organised crime, they were just the backers of entertainment in Providence. Had things gone the way they normally do in such situations, Lisa would have probably found herself falling into a life of prostitution. As it happened, however, she caught the eye of Antonio Da'Vinci. Quite why he chose to court Lisa, rather than any number of society women, only Antonio can say - perhaps it was her wit, maybe her humble roots reminded him of his own mama. Antonio took Lisa and moulded her into the perfect society girl.

Other Characters

<<< Do comment if my thoughts here are wrong -- BenChalmers >>>

JackProctor

Lisa is friends with MarthaLandsmann, and vaugely knew Jack as a result. He really never registered as a passing aquaintance. Since Jack has been turnned out to be a member of 122, Lisa has latched onto him as one of her "best friends in the world" <<< That fits; see JackProctor for my side -- RobHague >>>

EricColigny

Lisa is friendly and polite to Eric, as she is to everyone

EthanLocke

Ethan tends to be invited to many of the same parties as Lisa, and the two have a ball together. It may even have been Ethan who first mentioned 122's existence to her.

RobertJohnson

Lisa's face lit up when she was introduced to a real history professor, and she has been badgering him to let her come and sit in on some of his lectures ever since. When she found out he didn't like talking about why he left Harvard, she has been badgering him to tell her about the reasons for that, too.

HayesWebster

Lisa considers him a bit of a seedy character, after all running a bar is illegal. Nevertheless she is polite and happy to drink the occasional glass of wine

JuliusErlich

Its a shame hes so shy and reserved because Lisa doesn't know much about medicine and it could be really interestng. He keeps drying up though, which is a bit dissapointing, still, he'll open up to Lisa one day - she'll just have to keep on trying.

AlsoudHassam

Lisa hasn't ever travelled outside of America, so Alsoud fascinates her. Especially when he talks about history and the occult and things. Maybe one day she'll take a course at Jenkins or something so that she can really get to learn a small amount of what he really knows.
