<<< My recollection: RobertaHenry turned up to tell us that after writing QuentinCarver's obituary, she'd been sent a photo of him dead in an escapology-themed pose; Jack and Robert remembered the dead escapologist RudolfRoberto who Carver had trashed in a review. We agreed to look into it because she's still a bit shaken up. We went to the asylum to ask about stolen straight-jackets, but they would only show up in an audit. We looked up the dead escapologist and his wife. We learnt that he had started off making automata, but moved over to escapology and debunking. A biography led us to ElliottDaniels at UnityTricksAndConjurations, who told us that the wife had turned Roberto's workshop into a mausoleum, and held yearly seance parties to contact her dead husband. He got us an invite. The wife started the seance, but the lights went out and a clockwork dove turned up and exploded. While Jack and Robert put out the fire, Hayes snuck off to the mausoleum and found the not-recently dead wife. Hayes ran back out, and Robert and Jack went in. Robert found a load of clockwork thingies, and Jack went down to a lower room with a coffin. When he pushed the coffin lid, a block sprang up and he was trapped.
