Background

(I'm only putting what people have discovered so far through the game)

Alex is in his early fifties, he has taken a shine to 122 and already is trying to be helpful. He is 5'11" and has blue eyes and grey hair. He has a very special umbrella with a strange extendible spike at the end. HayesWebster appears to be impressed at the quality and condition of Alex's unbrella.

Alex appears to have no issue with money, but isn't desperately interested in flashing it around. He is extremely persuasive and eager to please.

Alex has explained to the members of 122 present that he is working as the manager of the CornExchangeBank as a favour to his friend Joshua.

Alex seems to always defer to women who take charge (or at least appear to) -- Lisa and Rebecca are such women.

When Alex becomes hurt or stressed he has a tendancy to rush into things. This might be viewed by the other characters as a displacement activity when alcohol isn't around. When he has access to alcohol, and is stressed or hurt, it seems to flow as though prohibition wasn't in force.

If asked, Alex will show people the LetterFromJoshua and will explain the powers which Joshua has unleashed in RobertJohnson. (Unless Robert asks him not to). Alex will also explain that while he simply does not have the strength of will needed to channel and control the powers.

Alex spends a lot of time fiddling with something around his neck; or looking at his pocketwatch.

.38 gun. Several boxes of bullets, including one box of silver bullets provided by Hayes. Now locked up in the CEB in a safe-deposit-box. There is a lattice made of steel wire with what look like caltrops made of silver tied into each junction. It is flexible; reasonably light considering it is about five foot square. This is kept in 122. His safe-deposit-box also contains an envelope, sealed with an elaborate seal and with the text "Important, Do Not Open" written on it in Alexander's handwriting. Inside the envelope is a very boring letter to noone in particular about estate management. This letter binds ElizabethEmai or at least her presence as the spirit of the YellowRiver to Alex for the next twenty years. Alex quite clearly expects to be dead before this becomes an issue.

Alexander now has the second half of his pendant. He is also wearing half of a Mizpah pendant ( http://www.barefootsworld.net/mizpah.html ) the other half of which is worn by GeorgePadmore
