Saturday, 3rd September 1932
Prohibition is still in force. Economic problems are still biting, and the crime rate is *way* up. A new prison being constructed on the edge of town, despite much local opposition. This is a major construction site for the most secure prison in the country!
Some of TheCharacters are in the tea room on this fine Saturday morning. A gentleman caller (Padraig O'Doyle) comes to TheSociety, wanting to talk to them about something he's found; he's the foreman at the prion construction site. He has met TheCharacters before (he was also involved in the work at the Roosevelt hotel in RevengeIsSweet), so he hopes they might be able to help him without all the hassle and delays if the police are involved.
Workmen have been excavating at the new prison site and have found a very large curved metal object in the space where the foundations are meant to go. Padraig has closed the site for the weekend so that he can somehow deal with this unwanted find.
The PCs head over to investigate. They find what looks like a large protruding metal shelf sticking out from the earth. More digging shows that it's the edge of a huge (roughly 200 metres across) saucer-shaped object, maybe a building embedded in the ground. It's made of a dull grey metal that is utterly resistant to scratching or denting. Hayes comments that the Webster Silver Company "might be interested".
Padraig climbs up on the shelf and finds a weird-looking handprint on the side of the top of the building - it has space for only three fingers. He touches his hand to it and two things happen - a previously-invisible hatch in the side of the building opens, and he complains about a sensation of heat in his hand before fainting on the spot. As the door opens, Henry runs inside and vanishes into the darkness. Rebecca and Ambrose chase him.
There's a dark corridor heading inwards, leading to two archways to what look like store-rooms and a closed door to another area. Another hand-shaped panel on the wall appears to be a light switch - touching it turns on some dim red diffuse lighting.
Through the doorway, further inside the saucer, there is a huge open arena space (40m tall, maybe 120m across). There is a gantry around the edge of that space, and that is where the door leads. At regular intervals around the gantry there are stairs leading both down to the bottom of the arena and (upside-down!) up to the roof. There are also several more doors leading off the gantry. Henry bounds down the stairs and finds an area with very tall chairs and tables. On the tables, the PCs find a human hand and some other body parts, preserved.
The store-rooms are full of oddly-coloured crates and barrels, labelled in an unknown alphabet. The PCs open various of the containers and find various awful things: a crate full of human arms, cured and stored; a barrel full of heads stored in oil; a small box with a perfectly-preserved baby's body in it. The PCs all exit the building in disgust.

Saturday, 3rd September 1932 (continued)
Discussion about whether or not the PCs need to deal with the saucer. Can they just build elsewhere on site? No. Can't really fill it with concrete and build over. Need to do something about it. They head back in.
After experimentation, the PCs work out that the doors and light switches work for everybody except Rebecca.
The PCs explore the interior of the saucer, starting with the corridors and rooms heading off from the central arena area. They find several interesting rooms.
Firstly, what looks like a lab storage area with dead people and animals in cages. 90% female in each case.
Next, a dormitory room complete with large bunks for maybe 150 people. In a few of the beds, they find some large alien bodies - roughly 12 feet tall, blue skin, no hair. 50% each obviously male and female.
Next, a control room next with lots of desks with switches and blinkenlights. In one wall, there is an large window into what looks like a laboratory / operating theory. In there, they can see a still-alive human secured to a table. His ribs are opened out and he is feebly moving, in obvious agony. Rebecca tries to shoot out the window with a shotgun to get to him, but she fails. The pellets rebound off the window without making a scratch, and she nearly kills herself!
The PCs work out which switches to use to open the door to the lab and get to Josiah (the human on the table) and talk to him. He is clearly very old and talks with a very old English accent. Screams "please kill me, make the pain stop!" Padraig kills him with a shotgun. Checking around the lab, people find some test tubes with egg-like specimens in. On the way out, each of the PCs is scanned by a bright blue light.
The next two rooms look like officers' quarters - much more luxurious than the dorm area: big bed, desk, pictures of blue-coloured aliens and a red-coloured planet.
Finally, the PCs find what seems to be the armoury. Padraig picks up a laser pistol and some ammo and experiments. He picks up several more and lots of ammo. Other PCs start setting up charges in an attempt to destroy the UFO, but Padraig makes their efforts wasted. He plays with one of the consoles down in the bowels of the ship and somehow triggers the self-destruct mechanism. The PCs just manage to escape, then BOOM!

Sunday, 4th September 1932
Rebecca has strange nightmares about walking through a hospital-type setup surrounded by large cold grey creatures. They tie her to a bed and start probing her: head, stomach, arms, legs. Lots of pain until she blacks out.
She wakes up at home on Sunday morning, seemingly 6 months pregnant! The PCs miss her at 122 and come to check up. Panic all round. Padraig finds JuliusErlich at his practice, and together they get Rebecca into a private room at the hospital. The obstetrician turns up and promptly faints at the sight. Rebecca is almost visibly growing...
Julius decides that a Caesarian is necessary; Padraig and Julius deliver 4 "offspring" that look very inhuman. They kill them and dispose of the bodies. Rebecca is kept in for a couple of weeks to recover from the trauma.
In the meantime, Stanley and Ambrose go and research in the libraries at 122 and the University, and find lots of stories about the area. This is Unity, after all! Stories from approx. 350 years ago of major upheaval, demons rising, fire falling from the sky, etc. People hid in their homes. Ever since, the area to the north east has been considered cursed, almost. Crops don't work there, it's desolate and useless. This would of course mean the land was cheap, hence why they decided to build a prison there!
Very little sign of any alien wreckage at the construction site - the self-destruct seems to have been very effective. However, the builders will need to fill a much bigger hole than expected.
Maybe thing are safe now for Rebecca (and the rest of Unity / the Earth)? Who knows...
