A place to store links to spells that The Characters find. Only information which is known to those who do not know the spell should be on this page; anything else should be on the linked page, so that people whose characters haven't don't know the spell can avoid it.

Desert People Hand Gesture <<< The Desert People are completely and utterly different from Sand Dwellers. Honest. Actually, I plan to come up with a better name for them, but it may involve allowing appostophies in WikiWords. -- RobHague >>>
<<< We have hyphens now - [would-they-do]? -- SimonBooth >>>
<<< Not really - they'd be representing missing vowel type thingies (c.f. T'Pau). I've got a plan to improve square bracket links in various ways at some point, but I'm probably better off trying to get the NooParser stuff to work first (identation is my current bugbear - once that's done, everything else is pretty easy). Briefly, I think that you should generate the pagename by removing all non alphanumeric website, and that the displayed text should be as is, but with anything in brackets removed. This would mean [Jack's Journal] links to JacksJournal, and [Lisa (DaVinci)] would link to Lisa DaVinci, but only display "Lisa". -- RobHague. >>>
<<< What about the more general [ This is the link | This is what displays ] syntax I've seen elsewhere? With your syntax, you can't have 'she' or 'her' linking to Lisa's page, which sometimes would be nice. Also, while we shouldn't feel we have to stay syntax-compatible with other wikis, it's a nice added bonus when we do. -- SimonBooth >>>
<<< I'd considered that - it'd also be nice to support [ http://a.long.domain.name.com/with/an/even/longer/path | A Short Name ]. My only nagging doubt is that it's against the Wiki way to hide the page name in the source. However, this is a quibbling point that I'm happy to concede if people think the other syntax is more useful (and promise not to link to goat.cx or anything). Oh, and it's worth noting that the syntaxes (syntices?) aren't incompatible, so we could have both.-- RobHague >>>
<<< Were the villains in UnearthlyGoode the dessert people? -- BenChalmers>>> <<< You'd be surprised how often I have to visit http://www.dictionary.com to check which word is which. Or maybe not. -- RobHague >>>
