1: One with a really easy work round but...

bizarre as these sorts of bugs go. Not a huge problem and easy to workround but is this really intended? And how did this text end up on top?
Note the odd ordering. Caused by not ending the table until a new parapgraph is seen I guess -- MikePitt.
<<< Yes; tables, as currently implemented, start a new paragraph at the start, and require a blank line afterwards. The reordering happens because the extra line goes inside the table tag, but not in a <tr> or <td>. I think the new parser doesn't have this problem, but I'm not sure. -- RobHague >>>

Benjamin Cohen Lucy Cohen Eve Cohen m some idiot(in source there are an even # of _ on the LHS and odd on RHS) Is this a side effect on the stopping WikiWords thing? See also SandBox
<<< Yes - double-underscore is deleted. use hyphens. -- SimonBooth >>> <<< when the block below was in the comment above, the rest of the page didn't render -- Vivek Dasmohapatra >>>

Benjamin Cohen Lucy Cohen Eve Cohen m some idiot<<< Of course all "-"s lead to problems to -- MikePitt >>>
<<< Yes; soluble problems, though. The long-term solution is probably the "verbatim" node type (in the NooParser CVS branch), which ignores all Wiki notation (as opposed to the current preformatted option, which just makes everything monospace and preserves whitespace). -- RobHague >>>
3: Is there a way to put a link to an image that doesn't include it? This would be useful for the EditedMap -- MikePitt
<<< I'll probably replace auto-inling of images with a macro; I'll put a note on the feature list when this is done. -- RobHague >>>
<<< Double-underscore to change http:// to http:// works for images and urls. -- SimonBooth >>>
4: Have a look at Title Index at the top is a for AddingImages, and then at the bottom is a for anentirenewcountryinthebasement. Case sensitive, but both are rendered as lower case? MikePitt
5: "The" is in the WordIndex. -- SimonBooth
<<< The WordIndex is problematic at best, especially now we've got square-bracket links. I'm tempted to remove it (the full text search is more useful anyway) - opinions? -- RobHague >>>
6: Edwin Arnold-Mallory is a bug
-- MikePitt
<<< Fixed >>>
<<< As an addendum to this, I'm also thinking of allowing you to put some of the words in brackets; these would not appear in the page text, but would be used to generate the page name. For example, [Lisa (DaVinci)] would appear as [Lisa], but the link would go to Lisa DaVinci. -- RobHague >>>
<<< ISTR a discussion somewhere about having links of the form [ Displayed Text | ActualLink ] - could 6 and 7 be solved by allowing URLs the same way (and just trusting that we won't link to somewhere obscene) - and we could even do image links by allowing URLs in the first half. -- SimonBooth >>>
7: Common bug - the regexp that matches URLs gets confused with trailing punctuation (compare http://www.einval.com/ and http://www.einval.com/) - note the trailing parenthesis. -- Steve McIntyre
<<< Workaround; use a trailing space, (e.g. http://www.einval.com ). Ben's suggested rewriting the rendering engine, so a better fix will probably be part of that -- RobHague >>>
<<< Cool. I've already been applying the workaround where I've seen the bug in other people's text... -- Steve McIntyre >>>
8: New bug - have a look at the preformatted text at the top of the SandBox, it seems WikiWords within it are honoured. I'm pretty certain that that is wrong. -- BenChalmers
<<< This is solved by the genuine verbatim (as opposed to preformatted) element in NooParser. The question is; should the current preformatted environment turn into verbatim, with another sequence meaning preformatted? I'd go for keeping the preformatted environment as is, and changing the source in the cases where the difference matters. -- RobHague >>>
9: APieceOfPie links nowhere, but [A Piece Of Pie] links to "APiece Of Pie" -- SimonBooth
<<< Fixed, in that [A Piece Of Pie] links to "A Piece Of Pie". >>>
10: StevenKitson is on the wiki infrequently.
<<< Fix: all we need to do is to go into _UnitySite.py and replace
from os import path with from os import path, environ and
logo_string = '<img src="/~rgh22/unity.jpg" border=0 alt="" align="right">' with
{{{if environ.get('REMOTE_USER', '') == 'StevenKitson':
logo_string = '<img src="http://images.slashdot.org/topics/topicapple.gif"
border=0 alt="Obscenity" align="right">'
else:
logo_string = '<img src="/~rgh22/unity.jpg" border=0 alt="Recent Changes" align="right">'}}}
(without that line wrap) and we're sorted -- Bored SimonBooth >>>
<<< *grin* -- Steve McIntyre >>>
<<< Maybe we need some kind of quota system; if you don't put in a certain amount of content per week, then a cron job fills up your homepage with Scary-Go-Round related nonsense. -- RobHague >>>
11 Maps: What The Heck Happened To The District Maps (see OldUnity or RiversideDistrict)...? -- MikePitt
<<< Sodipodi and Inkscape are both broken in Debian. I'll try to find a working copy somewhere. -- SimonBooth >>>
<<< Hmmm... OK, the new version of Inkscape fails... differently. AFAICT no-one cares about sodipodi any more. -- SimonBooth >>>
<<< Roight... Inkscape works, but uses "SVG pixels" instead of cm as its units. I've multiplied everything in the makefile by 2.857 and it seems to come out right now, but if you see any problems with the individual images let me know. -- SimonBooth >>>
12 <<< Double clicking in a text box (E.g. on FindPage) causes the editor to start. {asterisk} SUCKAGE {asterisk} -- DanielSilverstone >>>
<<< asterisks above seemed to kill output -- Vivek Dasmohapatra >>>
<<< Clicking anywhere in the body of a page starts the editor. I'll fix it for input boxes next time I'm fiddling with stuff. -- RobHague >>>
13 < < < This is a bug -- BenChalmers > >
<<< Modified so we can put things after it; the problem is that if you forget to close a comment, it slurps up the rest of the page, including the footer. -- RobHague >>>
<<< had to put spaces in above, killing output again. -- Vivek Dasmohapatra >>>
14 Colons in square bracket links cause the parser to go into an, um, semi-infinte loop (Steve says he's seen it finish, but I haven't). DO NOT put colons in links; use a hypen instead.
15 the "edit this page" page is non-well-formed, have to munge it before feeding to the xml parser when automating things:
- attributes are not quoted sometimes (input type=hidden)
content of textareas is insufficiently escaped (raw < > etc)
missing end tags for <body>
missing <html> and </html>
<hr> <br> et al should be <hr/> <br/> and so forth
